The Cottage
Nestled on a gentle hillside between the lighthouse and the sea, the cottage is the heart of Blackwater Island. Whitewashed walls, a weathered slate roof and dark blue window frames give it the timeless charm of a traditional Scottish island home. Sheltered by an old oak tree and surrounded by wildflowers, it has stood quietly against Atlantic winds for generations.
The Lighthouse
Perched on the highest point of Blackwater Island, the lighthouse overlooks the Atlantic with timeless elegance. Its white tower and black lantern room have guided sailors for generations, while its windswept paths, breathtaking views and quiet solitude make it the island's most iconic landmark. But behind its weathered walls lies a past that refuses to be forgotten.
The jetty and the boathouse
The small wooden jetty is the island's only connection to the mainland. Weathered by countless Atlantic tides, its old timber planks have welcomed fishermen, visitors and generations of islanders for decades. Every arrival begins here, and every departure ends with one last glance back towards the lighthouse standing high above the cliffs.
The old boathouse has served Blackwater Island for generations. Built from weathered stone and timber, it has protected fishing boats from Atlantic storms and housed the tools needed for life on the island. Coils of rope, rusted lobster creels and well-worn oars still bear witness to decades of daily life shaped by the sea.
